The rate for your project will be negotiated individually, as each job is different.

To assess your project I will need a sample of your document at the start of the process, plus details of your timescale and the word or page count of the complete document. I will use the sample to put together a quote. There will be no commitment on either side at this point. Once we have agreed terms, I will provide a contract detailing the price and level of service that I will supply for the job.

I normally charge for editing and proofreading according to the word (or page) count rather than by the hour, as this allows clients to calculate the cost from the outset. Project management or page layout in InDesign are more likely to be charged by the hour.
